New Year's Eve @ Café de Paris
We all know NYE is always an overpriced, overcrowded letdown of a night. The "set menu" at restaurants that's always 3x normal price, or the "sold out" events that are crammed full means I have, for the past 3 years, stayed in at home with a few friends, some wine and watched the fireworks. This year however as I stood staring into my wardrobe at all the fabulous dresses I've bought over the years (with no occasion to wear them) I thought f**k it, I'm going out!
My favourite place to go out in London has always been Café de Paris in Piccadilly; the decor inside is amazing and they play the best mix of music (that you can actually dance to). They also make a big effort with special themes for the night: this night was masquerade black tie! Needless to say Café had gone all out on the night; as you can see with the countdown!
Overall the night was a great laugh and was a great excuse to get dressed up! I had bought this stunning orange kimono Millie Makintosh dress months back and was so excited to get to finally wear it!
