Afternoon Tea @ The Landmark Hotel
Yesterday I was lucky enough to be taken for afternoon tea in the Landmark Hotel by my amazing best friend, Pippa. After 1 year in the planning (I was given this treat as a present for my 21st birthday in October 2015) we finally got around to picking a date we were both available, fitting around uni and holidays (both on her side as unfortunately I have no plans for August holidays - boo).
Expecting good weather for the day, we planned to meet beforehand and go for a walk around Regents Park, which I must say is amazingly beautiful and somehow I have never been before! The park has great walkways and with little nooks around each corner hiding Cafés, tree covered walkways, benches overlooking the lovely lake, pedellos (!!!) and even an open air theatre, this is definitely a place I want to come back to.
We walked down to the Landmark Hotel in Marylebone ready to consume an unreal amount of tea and cake. We opted for the Chocolate Afternoon Tea package with a glass of Champagne, unlimited tea, seconds and thirds of finger sandwiches (they surely can't be classed as "finger" once you've eaten seven - that's a full sandwich!!) two scones, plain and choc-chip, with two selections of jam and cream. And then the cakes! Macaroon, mousse, banana bread and chocolate cup (all chocolate flavours of course) it's safe to say, I'm glad my dress was loose fitting.
Overall, this was an amazing experience. A huge glass roofed atrium lined with palm trees, a grand piano, the service and the food altogether really were special.
